Abstract
Because the college education of Chinese painting is to imitate the western education pattern basically with sketch as a basic course in art training and ignores the particularity of calligraphy as Chinese painting education,calligraphy loses its professional position in Chinese painting course offered,and the contemporary Chinese painting is made to contain less cultural intension and form significance than the traditional Chinese painting.So it is necessary to substitute sketch with calligraphy.
