A new safe and effective localization for internal jugular vein puncture through the sense of cystose

Objective To explore a new safe and effective way for internal jugular vein puncture.Methods 100 patients of general anesthesia were randomly allocated into two groups,group Ⅰ included 50 patients with the sense of cystose,group Ⅱ included 50 patients with internal jugular vein cannulation.Total success rate,first attempt success rate of cannulation,complications were observed and recorded.Results Total success rates of groupsⅠand group Ⅱ were 98.00%,93.33% respectively(P0.05).First attempt success rates of groupsⅠand group Ⅱ were 84.00%,60.00% respectively(P0.01).In group Ⅱ,there was one example of perforated artery by mistakes.Neither of two group had serious complications,such as pneumatothorax or haematothorax,ect.Conclusion New method of internal jugular vein puncture has the characteristics including easy location,high puncture success rate and safety.It is one of the most applicative and valuable methods.
