Abstract
Sludge dewatering is one of the important technologies for sludge reduction, and improving sludge dewatering efficiency can effectively reduce sludge volume and meet the requirements for moisture content of sludge in further sludge treatment and disposal. Therefore, enhancement of sludge dewatering by pretreatment is becoming one of great concerns, including chemical, physical and combined sludge pretreatment technologies. The current applications and difficulties of existing sludge dewatering technologies were summarized and analyzed by literature research, and research and application of sludge dewatering enhanced by pretreatment were reviewed in order to provide reference for sludge dewatering in China.
