Abstract

In this paper, technological process and reaction of methyl methacrylate grafted onto ramie fiber was studied, which was solicitated by potassium permanganate. The relationship between ratio of graft and potassium permanganate concentration, temperature of pretreatment, time of pretreatment, vitriol concentration,MMA monomer concentration, time of reaction, temperature of reaction were discussed. The result indicated the grafting rate of ramie fibre may reach 142.4%.
