The Flora and Distribution of Gymnosperms in Chongqing Forest in Three Gorges Reservoir Region

The flora of Chongqing forest gymnosperms is composed of 44 species,belonging to 7 families and 26 genera and their life forms include 35 species of evergreen tree,4 species of deciduous tree and 5 species of evergreen shrub.The floristic elements of the 7 families are composed of 5 areal-types,which are mainly N.Temperate.There are 6 area-types of genus,of which 7 genera are endemic to China and 14 national key protected wild plant species,18 species in total.Nine species of gymnosperms are distributed in areas with an altitude of 1 600 m,22 species at the altitude below 1 500 m.Horizontally,the Dabashan Mountains have most diversified gymnosperms,consisting of 30 species,while only 11 species are distributed in the western and central part of Chongqing.
