Abstract
Based on the protecting of agricultural land, the article tries to analyze the definition and segmentation of farmland development right to establish farmland development right and to solve problems of profit distribution. It is concluded that the farmland development right should be defined as land property shared by government and farmland owners. Farmland development right could be subdivided into essential development right and material development right. Essential development right belongs to government and material development right belongs to farmland owners. On the basis of research on definition, subdivision and pricing of farmland development right, the farmer's rights is founded by protecting agricultural land, thus the social benefit of optimization is realized.
