Abstract
objective To understand indoor formaldehyde pollution situation in newly decorated apartments in Zhaoqing City and to provide scientific evidences for the control of indoor formaldehyde pollution.Methods The concentration of indoor formaldehyde in 100 recent decorated residential apartments was determined.Results The concentration of formaldehyde reach 90.13%,11.79% and 9.27% one month after decoration,one year later and two year later.There was positive correlation(r = 0.322,P0.05) between indoor formaldehyde concentration and temperature,but negative correlation between indoor formaldehyde concentration and air pressure(r =-0.301,P0.05).The correlation between indoor formaldehyde concentration and indoor plant did not show statistical difference(P0.05),but furniture was related to higher indoor formaldehyde concentration(P 0.05).Conclusion Indoor formaldehyde pollution in newly decorated apartment be considered,ventilation can decrease indoor formaldehyde concentration obviously.
