Clinical characteristics of functional dyspepsia in different subgroups

Objective To investigate the differences of psychological factors,sleep quality and the life quality of functional dyspepsia in different subgroups. Methods 120 patients with functional dyspepsia were divided into epigastric pain syndrome,postprandial distress syndrome and overlapping,then zung's self rating anxiety scale,zung's self rating depression scale,SF-36 quality of life questionnaire and pittsburgh sleep quality index were used in the three groups. Results(1) The prevalence of anxiety,prevalence of depression,prevalence of sleep disorder in three groups had statistical significance difference( P 0. 05).( 2) There were statistically significant differences of physiological function,emotional function,mental health,vitality,social function,body pain and general health among the three subgroups( P 0. 05),the overlapping had the highest score; there was no statistically significant difference of physiological functional among the three groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion The rates of patients who had anxiety symptom,depressive symptom and sleep disorder are different in functional dyspepsia in different subgroups; the quality of life is different.According to the clinical characteristics of functional dyspepsia in different subgroups,it is helpful to formulate effective therapeutic plan and it also has important significance in improving the life quality of functional dyspepsia patients.
