Abstract

Objective To study the clinical significance of serum non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol(non- HDL-C)level in patient with nonalcoholic fatty liver. Methods The levels of total protein(TP),albumin(Alb),glob- ulin(Glo),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),total bilirubin(TBIL),direct bilirubin (DBIL),immediate biliruhin(IBIL),glucose(Glu),total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),high density lipopro- tein cholesterol(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),apolipoprotein A-Ⅰ(apoA-Ⅰ)and aimlipopro- tein B(apo B)were determined in 973 suhjects taken physical examination and the ratio of apo B/aim A-Ⅰ,LDL-C/ HDL-C,apo B/HDL-C and TC/HDL-C were calculated. These serum biochemical marks were analytically compared with those of 89 patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver and 202 healthy subjects. Results The detection rate of fatty liver was 9.15%.The rate of male patients(12.50%)was higher than that of female patients(5.99% ,P0.05).There were significant differences between the levels of ALT,IBIL,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,aim A-Ⅰ,non-HDL-C,aim B/apo A-Ⅰ,LDL-C/HDL-C,apo B/HDL-C and TC/HDL-C in 59 male patients and control group(P0.05,P0.01),also the levels of AST,TBIL,DBIL,IBIL,Gin,TC,TG,LDL-C,apo A-Ⅰ,non-HDL-C,apo B/apo A-Ⅰ,LDL-C/ HDL-C,apo B/HDL-C and TC/HDL-C in 30 female patients and control group(P0.05,P0.01).The non-HDL-C was obviously correlated with TC,LDL-C,TG,HDL-C,apo A-Ⅰ,apo B,apo B/apo A-Ⅰand TC/HDL-C(r= 0.4113~0.9893,P0.01).Conclusions The metabolism disorders exist in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver. Early determination of serum non-HDL-C level may be helpful to know the metabolism condition of plasma lipids.
