Abstract
Grinding and quenching experiment of the 42 CrMo steel was done on the-precision grinding machine M7132,and the microstructure,micro-hardness,strenghened layer's thickness and wear resistance were studied.The results show that grinding and quenching strengthened layer of 42 CrMo steel is composed of lath martensite;micro-hardness reaches 771.8 HV,which is four times up on substrate.The least value t1 is effectively used on thickness of strenghened layer;Compared with substrate after-hardening and tempering,wear resistance of strenghened layer by grinding and quenching improves 3-10 times.
