Abstract
The process experiment of electric furnace smelting was conducted to get the best flux(limestone)proportioning for extracting ferronickel from laterite nickel ore.It was showed that in the case of other parameters unchanged such as pulverized coal ratio, temperature and holding time, the best flux proportioning was 10 % for the extraction of Ni,and 11 % for the extraction of Fe.The effect of the proportioning on the extraction of ferronickel was further discussed by studying the slag microstructures of9 % and 12 %limestone ratios.
