Abstract
DNA methylation is a kind of epigenetic modification in human genome.DNA methylation is one of the regulators on the expression of genes. The expression of genes can be silenced by hypermethylation of the tumor suppressor genes, which induces carcinogenesis. The incidence of gastric cancer is more closely related to abnormal expression of genes, and methylation of the tumor suppressor genes is one of the major mechanisms of gastric carcinogenesis.
