Effect to Seed Germination of Wheat in Different Densityof the Cd~(2+)

Abstract

Using the Wenmai No.6, we studied the effect of Cd2+ on the seed germination and the root、the bud growth in different density, The results showed that the cadmium has a bigger inhibitory effect in general ,it can stimulate the wheat seed to germinate in the certain extent and increase sligyly the germination percentage of the wheat seed and the number of roots when the density of the Cd2+ is lower than little 5 mg/L; the Cadmium has obvious restrain action when the Cd2+ density is bigger than 5mg/L. Cd2+ suppresses the root and the germ growth obviously .With the increasing of the Cd2+ density ,the root and the bud length shortens gradually, the bud heavy and the root heavy reduces gradually. In addition, high concentration Cadmium (50mg/L) causes the root tip getting brown and take on toxic reaction.
