In the process of translation, a translator's correct analysis and understanding of a word, aphrase and a sentence depends on the linguistic context, situational context and socio-cultural context.And because translation is an inter-lingual and intercultural conununication activity, the translationactivity is affected by the target socio-cultural context on both macro and micro levels.
