Application of Context Analysis to Translation Teaching

Abstract

Context is an import factor in determining the meaning of a word.Context analysis is the base of comprehension and translation,which plays an important role in translation teaching.This paper takes English-Chinese translation of TEM8(2010)as an example to demonstrate the application of context analysis to translation teaching,from the three aspects of linguistic context,situational context and cultural context.
