Abstract
grammaticalization is a language phenomenon that autonomous word turn to grammatical item,which contain substantive subjunctive、syntax and vocabulary. The paper take adverb Bai as the research object,from the history of chinese language angle to discribe the course of Bai from substantive subjunctive into negetive adverb Bai,as well as modal adverb Bai's whole grammaticalization course,and from semanteme and pragmatic aspects to analyze its reason
