Technological Research on High Efficiency and Electricity Saving of 150 t AC Electric Arc Furnace Steelmaking

Abstract

In th/s article technology was researched on high efficiency and eleetricity saving in 150 t AC electric arc furnace(EAF) steelmaking process of Tianjin Steel Pipe Company.Some methods were used which were the statistical analysis,the material balance and the energy balance calculation in the research.It contains three unit techniques:for the influence on the specific electric consumption through studying the furnace charge structure,guaranteeing the oxygen supply intensity that was 1.4 m~3/(min·t)to raise the oxygen use factor by using four oxygen guns in the furnace wall and two oxygen guns at the furnace door as well as controlling oxygen flow at different time stages,and studying reasonable power supply technology of new larger capacity transformer,which ensured the 100 MW transformer stably running for security and high efficiency.Based on these,synthetic study was carried on according to the steelmaking productivity and energy requirement,and remarkable progress of high efficiency and electricity saving were achieved.
