Changes of Gastric Emptying and Serum Motilin and Ghrelin by Needling Zusanli of Functional Dyspepsia

Abstract
Objective: To observe the treatment of needling Zusanli of functional dyspepsia rats on gastric emptying,and to study the changes of serum concentration of motilin and ghrelin.Method: The rats were randomly divided into normal group(NG),model group(MG),Western Medicine group(WG) and Acupuncture group(AG).The differences of food intake,weight,gastric residual rate,and carbon propulsion rate of all the rats,as well as the serum concentration of motilin and ghrelin were compared.Results: Food intake of MG,CG and WG was much lower than that of the normal group,but that of AG was higher than that of MG.Gastric residual rate of WG and AG was lower than that of NG,and the corresponding carbon propulsion rate was higher than that of NG.The motilin of MG was much lower than that of NG.The ghrelin of WG was lower than that of the MG.Conclusion: Needling Zusanli has the therapeutic effect of promoting gastric emptying of functional dyspepsia.The effect may be related with recovering the serum concentration of motilin and ghrelin levels.
