Abstract
The determination of arsenic and mercury in tobacco by atomic fluorescence spectrometry was studied. The tobacco samples were digested with HNO3-HClO4,then the arsenic and mercury were determined by atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The detection limits of arsenic and mercury were 0.05 ng/mL and 0.008 ng/mL,respectively.The relative standard deviation of arsenic and mercury were 2.6% and 2.7%,respectively.The recovery of standard addition of arsenic and mercury were 96%-103% and 94%-102%,respectively.
