Numerical Study on Evaporation Characteristics of Different Substance Droplet in Low Temperature Flue Gas

Abstract

A mathematical model for the motion and evaporation of droplet were given to investigate the evaporation characteristics of different physical and chemical parameters liquid drop in low temperature flue gas with the relative velocity and temperature.The average temperature and diameter of droplet during its evaporation process were analyzed,also the influence of the droplet diameter and velocity and the flue gas velocity.The results show that the temperature variation processes are different for bicomponent droplets and single-component droplets under the same conditions,but their diameter variation are same.The sequence of the evaporation rate form biggest to smallest is water drop,acid and salt drop and alkalescency solution.The diameter of droplet with different physical and chemical parameters investigated reveals the same index change rule,within the range of temperature and velocity.The smaller the diameter of droplet is,the easier it reaches the flue gas velocity,and the less is the influences of the initial drop velocity to the droplet life time.The effects of change of flue gas velocity and liquid drop initial velocity on evaporation rate of droplet are small.
