Abstract
Authentic assessment is based on the theory of multiple intelligences and the theory of constructivism.This article attempts to implement portfolio assessment,one of authentic assessments,in post-graduate English teaching to see if this new assessment can inspire students' motivation,cultivate their autonomous learning abilities and monitor their own learning process consciously.
