Abstract
Objective To analyze the epidemic characteristics of bacillary dysentery in Suining County from 2005 to 2010,so as to provide the evidence for improving the prevention and control of bacillary dysentery.Methods A retrospective study was conducted for bacillary dysentery cases that occurred in Suining County from 2005 to 2010.Results The annual average incidence of bacillary dysentery was 12.28/100 000.The disease had an obvious seasonal incidence peak in summer and fall.Most cases occurred from June to August,accounting for 57.59% of the total cases.The ratio of male to female was 1.75:1.Children and farmer were the majority.Conclusions It is necessary to take comprehensive prevention and control measures to reduce the incidence of bacillary dysentery.
