Abstract

Objective: To introduce a new operative procedure for gluteus muscle contracture, and conclude its operation effects. Method: Of all 39 cases (21 patients) were performed with posterior longitudinal incision of the great trochanter, cutting and double Z shaped lengthening contracture fascia lata. Release gluteus medius muscle?gluteus minimus muscle?piriformis muscle in serious 6 cases (3 patients). Results: 39 cases were followed up for 6 months to 2 years, all cases had satisfactory results. Conclusions: This procedure not only loosen contracture gluteus muscle but also remain continuation and power of contracture gluteus muscle. It is an easy, safe and effective surgical operation.
