English Teaching and Training Students' Awareness in Cross-cultural Communication

Abstract

The main objective of foreign language teaching is to develop the students' Intercultural communication competence.This paper analyzes briefly the relation between language and culture,discusses the importance of training their awareness in cross-cultural communication and shows some suggestions on how to develop it and rules we must follow in English teaching in order to improve the students'communicative competence of foreign language.
