Research of the Income Gap Between Urban and Rural Residents in China Based on Kernel Density Estimation

Along with the continent and rapid economic growth,the income gap between urban and rural residents gradually appears in China.Basing on the data of China Health and Nutrition Survey,using the non-parametric kernel estimation method,this paper analyzes the income gap.This research finds:Whole the urban and rural residents' income rise and most residents share the economic growing fruits,but middle and low income families are also the main part;the variation of income distributions of urban and rural residents are related to the process of reform and open up;the growth rate of urban residents' income is higher than the rural residents' and the income gap is becoming larger.
