Interventional embolization treatment of postpartum hemorrhage

Abstract

Objective To explore the application of selective arterial embolization(SAE) in treatment of postpartum hemorrhage.Methods Ten cases of postpartum hemorrhage received bilateral internal iliac artery angiography.Gelatin sponge was used to embolize the bleeding artery when finding it.Results Ten patients were successful in haemostasis and discharged.Conclusion:It is a safe,rapid,and effective hemostatic method of selective uterine artery embolization for the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage.
