Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical and endoscopic features of gastric MALT lymphoma. Methods:The clinical, endoscopic and pathological datum of 18 patients with gastric MALT lymphoma were analyzed retrospectively. Results:The median time of 5.6 months were spent in patients with gastric MALT lymphoma before it was verified, and the ratio of male to female was 5:1.The symptoms were not characteristics. The first symptom was epigastrium ache, and the rest taking in turn were abdomen full, sour regurgitation, nausea and vomiting and so on.The equivocal endoscopical features were infiltrating type, multiple ulcer, and pretuberance erosio, and were commonly misdiagnosed as gastric carcinoma and gastric ulcer. The final diagnosis was made pathologically and immumohistochemistrically.94.5 percent of the patients were infected with Hp and two of them were cured only by Hp eradication. Conclusions:The onset of gastric MALT lymphoma is insidious with long course of disease. It is suggested that multiple deep biopsy, special pathological change and immunohistochemistry are helpful to harvest a correct diagnosis. This disease is obviously associated with Hp.
