Abstract

Objective:To explore the effect of psychological intervention on patients with coronary heart disease complicated with depression.Methods:94patients with coronary heart disease complicated with depression hospitalized in Bayannur Hospital from April 2011 to July 2014 were chosen and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 47 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with the traditional medicine combined with psychological intervention on a regular basis while the control group was treated with only the traditional medicine. The two groups were evaluated by using Zung Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)after treatment fro 2months,6months and 1year respectively, with the effect of psychological intervention, incidence of cardiovascular events and the hospitalization rate compared between the two groups. Results:Psychological intervention can improve depressive symptoms and reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events, lowering the hospitalization rate. Conclusion:For patients with coronary heart disease complicated with depression, the effect of timely psychological intervention is much better than that of pure drug therapy.
