Abstract
Gear drive has extensive application in mechanical transmission system,and the involute profile gear is the most widely used type of transmission form.Exact modeling design for gear is foundation of simulation of gear drive.In this text a modeling method of involute gear is proposed with Lofting surface method of Solidworks.An exact tooth profile modeling of involute gear is obtained with this method;it is easy operation and satisfied requirement of simulation.
