Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of VEGF in normal cervical tissue and cervical carcinoma,and to explore their clinical significance.Methods Specimens surgically resected from 64 cases of cervical carcinoma and 22 cases of cervical benign disease were collected.The expression of VEGF in them was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results The result of immunohistochemistry showed that there were little expression of VEGF in normal cervical tissues,and cervical carcinoma tissues had a significantly increase compared with that in normal cervical tissues(P0.05).There were significant differences between normal cervical tissue and cervical carcinoma.Conclusion The expression of VEGF displayed a correlation and closely related with the carcinogenesis and development of cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
