Analysis on the High Molecular Weight Glutenin Subunits(HMW-GS) of Main Wheat Cultivars in Qinghai Province

Abstract

HMW-GS of 61 wheat cultivars were analyzed by SDS-PAGE for providing some information to using those cultivars efficiently in Qinghai province,The result showed that 12 kinds of allelic variations of HMW-GS were found in Glu-1.At Glu-A1,47.5% of cultivars had high quality subunits(1or 2*).At Glu-B1,50.8%cultivars had high quality subunits(7+8,17+18,14+15 or 13+16).At Glu-D1,41.0% of cultivars had high quality subunits 5+10.19 combinations of HMW-GS were observed by 12 kinds of allelic variations,and there was no dominant combination due to their frequency no more than 16.4%.At 3 subunits(Glu-A1,Glu-B1,Glu-D1) of Glu-1,9 cultivars(14.8%) had high quality subunits in the 3 subunits(quality scores were 10),18 cultivars(29.5%) had high quality subunits in 2 subunits,22 cultivars(36.1%) had high quality subunits in 1 subunit.
