Abstract

This paper proposes a method of speed identification in the sensorless vector control of PMSM. The sliding mode variable structure MRAS speed observer was constituted of model reference adaptive system and sliding mode variable structure control. The sigmoid function was introduced to eliminate the common dithering of sliding mode control. The simulation of the sensorless vector control of PMSM in MATLAB /Simulink proves that the speed observer can work effectively and has stronger robustness and better dynamic performance.
