Abstract
In order to get satisfying mesh for finite element analysis, the adaptive mesh generation method is developed for arbitrary planar domain. Local mesh refinement is realized in the area of stress concentration and the density of triangular meshes is changed gradually. Examples show the quality and effectiveness of the mesh refinement.
