A Brief Discussion of Basic Characteristics and Essence of Zen Aesthetics

Zen aesthetics is one of the important components of Chinese ancient aesthetics.During its process of development,Zen aesthetics has exerted great and far-reaching influence on the cultural and intellectual history of China.This article will,first of all,give an overall introduction of Zen aesthetics idea through its discussion of the research objects,nature and features of Zen aesthetics.It will also give a brief analysis on the several different ideas concerning the nature of Zen aesthetics in this academe,namely,life aesthetics,intuition aesthetics,and liberal aesthetics,and illustrate my view on this subject.
