Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of intestinal lymphatic transport on the enterogenous endotoxemia with obstructive jaundice.Methods:60 wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups:the shame-operative(SO) group, obstructive jaundice(OJ) group, and obstructive jaundice with thoracic duct ligation(OJTDL) group. On the 15th day postoperation, the vena cava inferior blood was obtained to determine the serum concentration of glutamicpyruvic transminase (GPT)、total bilirubin(Tbi)、endotoxin(ET)、TNF-α and IL-6.The lung was observed pathologically too. Results:On the 15th day postoperation, the levels of serum GPT、TBi、ET、TNF-α and IL-6 in OJ group were increased significantly as compared to those in SO group, and the pathologic damage of lung was severe. In OJTDL group, the levels of serum GPT and TBi were the same as those in OJ group, but the levels of serum ET、TNF-α and IL-6 were significantly lower than those in OJ group, and the serverity of lung injury was dramatically improved. Conclusion:Intestinal lymphatic transport has great effect on the translocation of enterogenous endotoxin with obstructive jaundice.Interrupting this transport may has great value in proventing the enterogenous endotoxemia and the lung injury with obstructive jaundice.
