Case-control study on Yueyang school-age children's behavioral problems and family environment factors

Abstract

【Objective】 To understand the family environment factors affected school-age children's behavioral problems of Yueyang city and provide a basis for taking effective measures to family intervention. 【Methods】 120 children identified as children with behavioral problems with Rutter Child Behavior Scale were random sampled as case group,take age,sex,school and classes,home address for the matching conditions,using 1∶1 matching method to sample 120 children without behavior problems to the same investigation with Rutter Child Behavior Scale as control group,compare the family forming difference between the two groups. 【Result】 Children's behavioral problems had negative correlation with their parental education,energy on their children's education,their educational methods and had positive correlation with single-parent type family. 【Conclusion】 Yueyang school-age children' behavioral problems are affected by family environment factors,single-parent families,time and energy parents spend on children's education,reasoning and communication education way is a major factor.
