The Anthropological Turn in Literature and Art Studies——A Theoretical Exploration and Introspection with Chinese Perspective and Experience

Over the past thirty years,the Chinese history of the anthropological turn in literature and art studies has undergone three stages: the first is the Anthropological Turn in literary theory,literary and artistic aesthetics and literary criticism through the discussion of literary and artistic ontology in the 1980s,which promoted the occurrence and formation of Chinese literary anthropology;the second is the emphasis on the internal dialogue of Eastern and Western cultures,and the culture and literature of ethnic minorities and disadvantaged groups since 1996,which contained oral culture and written culture for understanding literature;and the third is the reexamination of the polygenetic composition of Chinese culture and the putting forward of the new literary concept from the standpoint of literary anthropology after 2005,which reflected the native cultural consciousness in the anthropological turn in literature and art studies from local globalization toglobal localizationon the whole and showed a new literary concept of cultural root seeking and cultural integration.
