Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effects of enteral nutrition( EN) and parenteral nutrition( PN) on postoperative patients of gastric cancer. Methods 60 postoperative patients of gastric cancer from Jun. 2011 to Dec. 2012 in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups: the enteral nutrition group and the parenteral nutrition group,30 cases per group. All patients were treated separately with enteral nutrition and parenteral nutrition based on comprehensive treatment. The body mass, total protein, albumin and serum protein were observed before and after surgery. The postoperative complications, flatus time, and the average length of stay were similarly observed. Results In the EN group, nutritional support in patients with body mass and 8d after operation HGB,ALB,PA were significantly higher than those in group PN( P 0. 01). EN group of patients with flatus time, postoperative complications and the average length of stay were significantly less than that of group PN( P 0. 05). Conclusion Enteral nutrition for postoperative patients of gastric cancer compared to parenteral nutrition is more efficient, economical and safe, which is worthy of promotion.
