Abstract
Objective To observe the changes of plasma D-dimer and fibrinogen and investigate its clinical significance in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods The blood samples of 53 acute cerebral infarction patients within 24 hours of onset was collected, the content of D-dimer and fibrinogen were determind, and compared with control group. Results In patients with acute cerebral infarction, the plasma contents of D-dimer and fibrinogen were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.01).The levels of D-dimer and fibrinogen were significantly correlated with the infarction size and severity of disease. Conclusion There are some abnormalities in coagulative and fibrinolytic system in patients with acute cerebral infarction. The levels of plasma D-dimer and fibrinogen are useful for the diagnosis, evaluation of disease severity and effective evaluation of thrombolysis therapy, and judgment of prognosis in these patients.
