Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of Xiaoyin decoction in treatment of acute psoriasis vulgaris(APV) and to probe its influence on the excursion of Th1/Th2 of APV. Methods 60 patients with APV were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, and each group has 30 cases. The treatment group was treated with XiaoYin decoction; the control group was treated with Cap FuFangQingDai. The course of treatment is 8 weeks. The serum level of Interferon-γ(INF-γ) and Interleukin-10(IL-10) from 30 patients of treatment group and 20 normal controls were tested by ABC-ELISA assay. Results ① The PASI scores of both group significantly declined after the treatment, the effective rates of treatment group and control group are significant difference(P0.05). ②The level of INF-γ in serum from patients were significantly higher than that of normal control groups (P0.001). The PASI scores has correlation with the increased serum level of INF-γ and IL-10 (r=0.7, P0.001; r=0.43, P0.02). ③The level of IL-10 in serum from patients were significantly lower than that of normal control groups (P0.001). ④The rates of INF-γ and IL-10 were significantly higher than those of normal control groups (P0.001). ⑤After the treatment, the level of INF-γ and IL-10 in serum and the rates of INF-γ and IL-10 had no statistical difference between treatment group and control group. Conclusion The clinical efficacy of Xiaoyin decoction on treating acute APV is significantly higher than control group. The mechanism of Xiaoyin decoction on treating psoriasis might take effects through the regulation of the level of the two types of cytokines(INF-γ and IL-10).
