Abstract
Spore morphology of 21 species of the genus Allantodia from China was examined by SEM.. The spore morphology of the genus is similar, monolete, polar view ellipsoidal, equatorial view phaseoliform or semiorbicular, exospore plain, perispore usually of two layers, thin inner layer, crassus outer layer. The contour of spore ornamentation is formed by outer layer of perispore, which is usually prominent folds on the spore surface. The taxonomic status of the genus Allantodia was discussed in this paper.
