Abstract

Gini coefficient is a measure of equality of income distribution in a society. This paper tries to use Gini coefficient to measure the equality of income distribution in an enterprise. The paper first identifies the factors which may affect Gini coefficient in enterprise, and calculates the value of Gini coefficient at 27 combinations of three factors. Then, three organization's income distributions are used to calculate their Gini coefficient respectively. The results show that the Gini coefficients in these three organizations are quite low. Finally, the paper analyses the reasons of inequality of income distribution in China, and some suggestions to Chinese government and organization are given.
