Abstract
A dyeing process of chitosan-treated wool fabrics dyed with Reactive Blue BET was studied. The effects of the degree of deacetylation and concentration of chitosan on the dyeing behaviors of wool were discussed, and the differences of dyeing behaviors between chitosan-treated wool and untreated wool were compared. The results showed that with the increasing of the concentration of chitosan or the degree of deacetylation in the solution, fixation of reactive dyes and the fabrics surface color depth value K/S were improved;and the fastnesses in all kinds were little influenced.
