A Study of Cultural Region and Formative Factors in Guangxi During the Ming and Qing Dynasties

The cultural regions in Guangxi were formed during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.With the influence of terrain,migrant and administrative division,Guangxi was divided into two great cultural regions-the region of Han language and the customs of Han nationality in the east,and the region of Zhuang language and the customs of Zhuang nationality in the west.From the viewpoint of dialect,the region of Han language was divided into the sub-region of dominant language in the northeast and the sub-region of Guangdong language in the southeast.From the viewpoint of customs,the region of customs of Han nationality was divided into the three sub-regions.In all,the cultural region in Guangxi during the Ming and Qing Dynasties laid the foundation of cultural territory of today Guangxi.
