Abstract
The relationship between capitalism and socialism is complicated. From a theoretical perspective, capitalism system will be inevitably substituted by socialism system while capitalist countries have to hold intercourse with or cooperate with socialist countries. A special inter-state relationship is formed between these two types of states. From a historical perspective, the relationship between capitalist states and socialist states is intricate, but the basic interaction forms are struggle, cooperation, and competition. From the perspective of development trends, it is objectively inevitable for different civilizations and social systems to co-exist. The substitution of capitalism by socialism will be a long journey.
