Building a Resource-saving and Environment-friendly Society

To build a resource-saving and environment-friendly society is an important strategic task raised by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. A resource-saving and environment-friendly society has its intrinsic definition and characteristics. To build such a society, our country faces problems such as the rigorous situation in respect of resource and the serious environmental pollution. Therefore, we need to intensify the construction of legal system, transform the way of development, apply clean production, develop recycling economy, develop bio-energy, strengthen scientific research, and work out corresponding policies.
