China Regional Eco-Efficiency Measurement and Difference Analysis

Eco-efficiency is an important indicator of regional sustainable development,which reflects the regional efficiency of effectively utilizing natural resources and releasing environment pressure in regional economy development.Super-DEA is tried to apply in regional eco-efficiency measurement of china in 2000-2009,and the regions of china are divided into different types accordingly.The differences between the eco-efficiency are analyzed from the view of whole china and the economy regional of east china,west china,and middle china.The results suggest that the eco-efficiency of the whole china is advanced continually,while the difference of regional eco-efficiency is significant and becoming larger and larger,and the regional eco-efficiency is significantly related to its economy development level.The evolution rules of eco-efficiency among east china,west china and middle china are different: the regional eco-efficiency of east china has been advanced rapidly while the difference among its provinces is becoming larger,and the regional eco-efficiencies of west china and middle china have been lack of growth power while the difference among its provinces is becoming smaller.
