Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy of narrow-band ultraviolet B(NB-UVB) in the treatment of patients with psoriasis plaque. Methods A total of 90 patients were treated by 311nm narrow-band ultraviolet B radiation only, acitretin only or narrow-band ultraviolet B radiation combined with acitretin. Results The efficacy was evaluated by psoriasis area and severity index(PASI),After (26.16±4.37)d,( 28.24±5.27)d and (18.34±3.52)d treatment, the improved rates of PASI of NB-UVB group, acitretin group,NB-UVB combined acitretin group were(77.65±24.77)%,(78.64±23.43)% and (89.44±25.57)%, respectively. When compared with acitretin group, the efficacy of NB-UVB group had no difference(P0.05),while NB-UVB combined acitretin group got better efficacy(P0.05) in shorter time(P0.05).Conclusion Radiation of NB-UVB combined with acitretin is safe and can improve the efficacy significantly for psoriasis plaque.
