Comparative study of Aripiprazole and Haloperidol in the treatment of tic disorder

Abstract

Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy and safety of Aripiprazole and Haloperidol in the treatment of tic disorder.Methods:62 Tourette patients were randomly divided into two groups,treatment with Haloperidol and Aripiprazole for 8 weeks.Before treatment and in the second and eighth weekend,YGTSSS and TESS were used to evaluate efficacy and side effects.Results:In the second and eighth weekend,two group's tic score decreased significantly(P0.05or0.01),Adverse reactions in the Aripiprazole group were less than that in Haloperidol group(P0.01).Conclusion:Aripiprazole is effective for treatment of tic disorder,and high safety.
