Abstract

Objective:To explore the correlation between serum hypersensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) and insulin resistance (IR) in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).Methods:The levels of hs-CRP from 41 patients with GDM (GDM group) and 40 pregnant women with normal glucose tolerance (NC group) were detected by ELISA. Homeostasis model insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) was applied to assess the status of IR.Results:①The levels of hs-CRP and HOMA-IR were (10.80±3.57) mg/L,(3.96±2.16) in GDM group and (5.96±2.56) mg/L,(2.59±0.71) in NC group, there was significant difference in the levels of hs-CRP and HOMA-IR between two groups (P0.01 );②A multiple linear stepwise regression analysis indicated that HOMA-IR was the most important effect factors of hs-CRP.Conclusion:The level of hs-CRP increase in women with GDM,which is related to IR and may participate in the pathogenesis of GDM.
